Clean energy
Industrial Group Finprom-Resource Ltd. pursues research in the field of alternative sources of energy.
The first direction of research is the development of new types of windmills. The work is being done together with the Saratov State University. A new type of windmills with two degrees of freedom has been developed by the company's experts. The windmill was successfully tested at the Saratov State University aerodynamic laboratory. The aim of R&D is to gain wind-generated energy at wind speed less than 4 mps. As our research shows this figure can be achieved at the industrial prototype. Our company is planning to carry out real-time testing of windmill prototypes in 2005. A number of interesting aerodynamic effects for low wind speeds have been discovered during experimental tests. After a series of research, it is planned to patent this product in Russia and abroad.
The second direction of research is the vortex effect (Rank’s effect). This effect allows obtaining gas division into hot and cold currents in simple devices. These devices are called vortex pipes. They are widely used in technical equipment. The phenomenon of vortex effect has not been explored completely despite the fact that it was discovered long ago. The theory is based upon experimental data. Our company pursues modelling and research of this process so that to develop vortex pipes with optimized parameters as well as other devices. Many specialists of the Samara Aerospace University were enrolled as consultants during the research. This research area has a high market demand. Production of effective sources of heat/cold based on vortex effect is expected to grow in different branches of industry.
The third direction of research is hydrogen research. Hydrogen technologies are widely studied all over the world. This issue has a global impact nowadays. Our company actively develops this promising direction of research. Scientists of our company have formulated a series of scientific hypotheses in this area by now. Today scientific and technical capabilities of our company allow to pursue experimental research in the field of hydrogen technologies. In a few years, our company is planning to present a number of innovative products in power engineering industries on the market.
The best Russian physicists are enrolled in this research project, including those from the Nobel Prize winner, academician Abrikosov’s group.
